My professional experience is as follows: US Coast Guard, 1968-1972, Associates Degree Electronics, 1974- Electronics Tech/ Systems Engineer 1974-1998,- Technical Writer 1998-2001,- Business Owner: Yanmar and Westerbeke dealership: Leasure Marine LLC 2001-2008. Owner of Leasure Marine Survey 2006 to Present.
I hold a General Class FCC License, and have been associated with Yachts and Small Craft for over 40 years. I held a 100 T Masters Certificate for years and have been a dedicated "Blow Boater" (sailor) since 1965 when my father bought what was probably the smallest yawl , 19 ft, ever built and turned my brother and myself loose on the unsuspecting Mississippi Sound. Originally from Ohio, we found out quickly about tides, having to spend the night on Horn Island after walking back from the Gulf side and finding the boat lying at a 45 degree angle anchored on the sound side. I have been learning since and have sailed in Australia, the Caribbean, Florida, the Bahamas, and even in the Philippines.
Give me a call for a quality pre-purchase inspection or C&V survey.
